Simple Things

This month the theme for our photography circle is Simple Things. This can be interpreted in many ways so I was constantly asking myself "is this too complicated, or simple enough"? I photographed my son and his friends at our local sandbox one afternoon. These kids were highly entertained by the simple things a sandbox can offer and no one was on an IPad that day!  Here is my interpretation of Simple Things.

Lisa of Smitten Films

I recently had the opportunity to practice my photography skills on beautiful friend and Tribeca resident Lisa Ridd of Smitten Films. She was an easy subject to shoot and the streets of Tribeca provided interesting backgrounds. I think we both had a lot of fun that day exploring the perfect place for a photo. If you get a chance check out her website here. Her knack for putting together a film of your memories (your photos and videos) is amazing. One thing to note, you don't need to live in New York City to work with her, since it's so easy to share files in today's world. These are some of my favorites from that day. Thanks for looking!

Clickin Walk 2013

Here are the rest of my favorites from the 2013 Clickin Walk that took place in September. It was a bit challenging at times getting the right settings as we walked from sunny to shady areas. The focus of the day was more about connecting with other women interested in photography and I'm totally cool with that.
