Buddy

This is Buddy. A cool guy that lives in Tribeca. I wish I would have had my new 50mm lens to take this picture, as he would have looked a lot crisper and the depth of view more blurred. I also don't like how his elbow is cut out of the second picture but I was nervous about asking him for his picture and wanted to be quick. Maybe he'll let me take it again? Restaurant Crew

My sister and I went out yesterday to practice our amateur photography skills. While walking past Franklin Street just before the peak lunch hour we spotted the Tribeca Grill restaurant crew taking a break. I thought it was one of those moments where you just had to take a photo. They were all okay with me doing it too! I converted the first one to black and white, leaving the second one in color. I've posted both of them. My preference is the black and white larger photo. Click on them to see them larger.

Paul and Yasser

Walking the streets of Tribeca and the surrounding neighborhoods you always see people with their own unique style. I recently read on another photo blog that you shouldn't be afraid to ask those people if you can take their photo. That's just what I did yesterday.
This is Paul with two dogs (one is his). He definitely has his own style, from his sunglasses to his boots. He's an artist and has probably lived in Tribeca longer than most of us.

Yasser is also an artist and is from the Financial District. I do know Yasser so it wasn't that hard asking him for a quick photo. He is often seen with a scarf around his neck, or a cool hat.
